The body needs at least 1.5L (6 cups) of water a day to stay hydrated. If you are not hydrated enough, a feeling of dry mouth may appear.
Water is the best drink, so always have a bottle of water to take small sips often throughout the day. Prefer water at room temperature, neither too hot nor too cold.
Make sure you have a beverage (water, milk, herbal tea, etc.) with meals. Take small sips between bites.
Suck on ice cubes or popsicles to keep your mouth moist.
Avoid tobacco and alcohol (including mouthwash with alcohol) because they may dry out the mouth.
Limit caffeine (cola-type soft drinks, energy drinks, coffee, tea): caffeine is a dehydrating agent.
