Enrich your foods

Enrich your foods to keep on eating your favourite foods/meals even in smaller portions. By enriching them you can still get enough calories even when you are eating less. Here are some tips and recipes to try:

Add sauce (e.g. Alfredo, hollandaise, pesto, etc.)

 

Add fats (e.g. mayonnaise, oil, margarine, butter, nut butter, cream, sour cream, coconut cream or coconut milk etc.)

 

Add maple syrup, honey

 

Add cheese to your meal, soup or puree

 

Prepare rice as a risotto

 

Use dips (e.g. tzatziki, ranch, hummus)

 

 

Note for tzatziki sauce: Do not use pepper if you have ulcers or pain

Add ground flaxseed, hemp hearts or chia to hot cereal, smoothies, etc.
